N/W Melee necro build..comments pls
Blood Magic - 12
Sword - 12
Soul Reaping - 2+1
Vampiric Touch
Life Siphon
Awaken The Blood
Final Thrust
Sever Artery
Hamstring
Hundred Blades
Frenzy
So ...generally this build is for PvP and the several blood skills would help it maintain its health...comments?

if it is for PvP i would go W/N, for some main reasons:
if you are going to put only 12 in blood then you can do that with a Warrior and put the others into strebght which would most likely be a better choice then soul reapering in PvP.
Warriors have more armour then necros.
also is there a need for awaken the blood, it will only put up Vampiric Touch touch by a bit, i would take another skill like Gash
and maybe change frenzy for flurry...... that can be pretty evil if you don't have a good defence up

the reason why i chose a necro primary is becos u can have lots and lots of mana to spam vampiric touch to get hp back...and also...a n/w looks cooler with a sword
i could do this too
Blood - 11
Sword - 12
Soul - 4+2

frenzy might be a bit dangerous cause of your low AL, but demonic might help out with that a little

Ok...so ive played around with my N/W and decided that it needed some tweakin...and so ive come out with 2 builds
Blood Magic - 11+1+3
Soul Reaping - 2+1
Curses - 5
Swordmanship - 11
Tactics - 7
These are the skills ive shortlisted...and im havin problems pickin the best 8
Vampiric Touch
Life Siphon
Demonic Flesh
Insidious Parasite
Weaken Armour
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Hundred Blades{E}
I could make things easier by goin axe mastery...but i just love the bleeding skills offered by swordsmanship
Heres the axe build
Axe mastery - 11
Blood Magic - 11+1+3
Curses - 5
Tactics - 7
Soul Reaping - 2+1
Vampiric Touch
Life Siphon
Demonic Flesh
Weaken Armour
Insidious Parasite
Eviscerate{E}
Executioner's Strike
Flurry/Frenzy
Equipment : Tormentor's Armour, Shield(Req:7 Tactics), Vampiric Sword(Any sword with max dmg)of Defense or Vampiric Axe(Any axe with max dmg)of Defense
Can anybody tell me i could improve thses builds...maybe i shldnt invest points in tactics???

imo the shield is worthless and your tactics attributes would be better spent some place else

if u have energy problems take OoB and forget hundred blades. u dont need tactics at all u are ok with ur swd. and like others said dont use frenzy, cause u gonna kill urself. ur build also depends on u fghting a warrior or ragner cause u have insidious. if u want to minimizes dmg use shadow of fear. from curses, annd the good thing is that it doesnt req a lot ofcurses for u to use. with u being a necro u have a lot of energy so keep ur hamstring. demonice flesh is kinda bad mostly when u lose the enchant and it makes u lose a lot of hp and thus helping the person who is killing u. and ya bleeding is good for n/w mostly cause they can get a lot of degen on opponent.

sorry but no matter the skills the FACTS still remain!!!!!!
NECROS don't have the armor for MELEE combat... unless you have good healers that plan on using a lot of energy on you or you like playing in newb areas.... I'de like to see a MeleeMancer in action in the UW against a lvl 29!
hummmm I started with this build and abondoned ASAP.... works through some of the game but good luck against high lvl foes!

u guys recommend blood renewal??? seems like a good skill until the enchantment is stripped...and with these skills,
Vampiric Touch
Life Siphon
Insidious Parasite
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Order of Blood{E}
Shadow of Fear
u think i shld make room for Weaken Armour?Actually...i was thinkin of Faintheartedness instead of Shadow of Fear

I'll have to disagree with you on this one There are many players who are N/W and who do very well (even without a Monk or a Monk secondary.) I have beaten the game with my N/W, have finished every quest/mission etc etc and can take on high level foes. Many times, while on missions, I've been the last one standing.
The trick is to pick your battles wisely and to remember that you're NOT a tank. Work on small groups at a time--cast some spells from a distance first that weaken the enemy, then swoop in close to finish then off with your sword. Play smart, slow and strategically and remember that you're not invincible. But it's definately a feasible and incredibly fun build.
Anyway...just my 2 cents

Your right it can be done, this is the build I started out with, but I've also tried almost every possible build there is, and you must admit, necros are MORE effective as casters, anyway this post is about this build so maybe I can help by adding my opinion on this build...
*maybe u you add Life Transfer to your skills, with Life transfer and Life siphon Not only will this put a MAX regen on you but also add a MAX degen on your enemy, this can be very useful while pounding with melee attacks!!!!!!!!!!
*also if i may suggest using Shadow strike INSTEAD of Vampric Touch....only cost 10 to cast and while the enemy had +50% health it does alot more dmg!!!
* You may also want to put something in place of Awaken the Blood, its a good skill for casters but not really doing your build that much good, well not compared to some others you could put in its place, perhaps Vampric Gaze(alot like vampric touch but 5 less energy to cost and you can't do it from a distance)
* Great Combo for MeleeMancer is as follows
-b4 Aggro Cast Life Transfer and Life Siphon(gives you +10 regen and foe -10 degen)
- next cast shadow strike and Vampric Gaze
- now its time for the melee, your foe will be below 50% health and still have degen, finish them off pounding them with melee attacks!!!!!
*HINT* lose Frenzy... u take double damage and having weaker armor than a warrior thats the last thing you want!

dont use blood renewal, life siphon and vamp touch are enough to heal u. and shadow of fear is way better cause it really slows them down and u can get more than 1 at a time. order would kill him. is enough to have ppl fight him is worst if he sacrifices himself in battle to do that.
